Facial care: create my own facial oil using organic oils such as argan, jojoba, coconut, olive, sunflower, sesame, linseed & other oils - whatever I find when I need it 😅. Argan, jojoba and coconut are especially known for their skin benefits but the others also add different nutrients. This is all I put on my skin. I don't use any other serums, moisturisers etc. My skin type is dry and it works wonderfully for me. For others it might be more of a night mask option; as I don't wear make-up usually I also don't have to worry about it sinking in before I apply anything else on top.
ON MY BODY...
Trying to avoid chemicals on my skin and at the same time being budget-friendly, here are some easy self-care tips I like to use:
Deodorant: conventional deodorants are known for containing ingredients that can be harmful to us; in addition, the packaging often produces a lot of waste. Its incredible how easy and simple it is to make a truly functioning deodorant yourself.
Option 1: baking soda, either apply as a powder or mix with coconut oil for a paste
Option 2: citrus juice - lemon juice from a bottle or cut up lemon/lime and rub it under your armpits. It's surprising how well this works for all-day "protection"!
Oral care: I like to oil pull. Usually I use coconut oil for it, but again you can use a range of oils. Google to learn about the multiple benefits of this ayurvedic practice.
For teeth-whitening I actually occasionally apply activated charcoal to my teeth overnight. It works but looks strange - do it when you're alone. :)
When I do these two things my gums are super healthy...
